Yaki Naran

Atalantia ceylanica, commonly known as Yaki Naran or Wal Dehi, is a small, densely branched shrub native to Sri Lanka. It belongs to the Rutaceae family and typically grows to about 2.5 meters in height. The plant is characterized by sharp, slender spines approximately 25 mm long, and ovate to ovate-lanceolate or elliptic leaves measuring between 4 to 15 cm in length and 2 to 6 cm in width. Its axillary inflorescences are short, leading to subglobose, somewhat dry fruits.
